Call to Women’s Caucus meeting at MDP State Convention on June 9 at Lodge of the Four Seasons at Lake of the Ozarks.

We are joining with other Democratic Women members of the Missouri Democratic Party to help form a Democratic Women’s Caucus to make sure “Women’s Voices” are heard by our Party and Candidates AND to use our informed sure voices as we work to elect Democrats at all levels. Join us at the Missouri Democratic Party Convention on June 9th at the Lodge of the Four Seasons at Lake of the Ozarks at 9:30 am (just before the convention) across the hall from registration, as we mobilize to help elect Democrats to Washington, the Statehouse, and our counties. MFWDC CONVENTION JUNE 22-24, 2012

“Democratic Women-Hometown Heroes” is the theme for 2012 Missouri Federation of Women’s Democratic Clubs (MFWDC) 81st Annual Convention which will be held at the Hannibal Inn & Conference Center in “Hannibal, Missouri-America’s Hometown” June 22-24. Beginning in 1931, women have worked to elect Democratic candidates to national, state, and local offices. Due to the census, the Ninth District will no longer exist so this is the final time that the Women’s Democratic Clubs of the Ninth District will host the state convention.

Friday afternoon registration begins at 2:00. One of the clubs largest fundraisers is the auction which will be held Friday evening.

Delegates, members, and guests will hear statewide candidates speak at the brunch on Saturday morning. All Democratic candidates have been invited to attend and speak. A business meeting will be held immediately following the brunch.

Several activities will be available for attendees on Saturday afternoon, including sightseeing, trolley rides, a riverboat cruise, and shopping.

The annual Woman of the Year award will be given at the banquet on Saturday evening. The speaker for the banquet has not been announced at this time.
